MBJDC Forum Rules

~Please Respect The Forum & It's Members~
There aren't too many strict rules here, basically just treat the other members with respect. As it can be sometimes hard tell without being face to face if something was said as a joke or with mean intentions, we ask that you first PM the individual(s) and try to settle things between yourselves rationally. Not everyone will always agree with with each other and not every comment made has to be a positive one, so simply not liking someone's opinion or the tone of a comment is not grounds for punishment. However, if anyone does cross the line by attacking someone personally with name calling or obscene comments, a screen cap of the comments or a copy of the PM can be given to the moderators. They will discuss the incident and if need be the offender will be given a warning. After several warnings the moderators may need to make a decision about the offender's membership and if they become a nuisance they may be banned from the forum. We are all adults here so there shouldn't be a need for members to be babysat, please behave and respond appropriately. Members must be 16+ to join, but we may rise the age if it becomes necessary. Threads will not be locked or posts deleted unless things get extremely nasty. In that case there will be an explanation given as to why. So, mutual respect and not being mean is all I ask! Thanks!

To help keep the forum better organized, you may notice moderators moving threads to another section, or altering thread titles. For example: the title "Help!" may be edited to "Help! (broken head cap)". This is to make these threads easier for others to find by topic. Please help to keep the forum less cluttered by thinking of the following:

-Please keep meet-up discussion and suggestions in the "Meet-Up Chat" section, while keeping only confirmed and helpful event info in the "Meet-up Information" section.

-Once an item is sold, found, or the thread is no longer needed, please let us know by changing the title (for example: "Sold: please DELETE"), or by PMing a mod.

-Please be aware that anyone who joins this forum and posts ads (aside from member-run BJD commission shops), it will be assumed that they are just a spammer and will be banned immediately.

-Members who join and have 0 posts may have their membership removed due to inactivity after 2 months (Inactivity = not posting). Members who join and have 1 - 10 posts will have their membership removed if they have not posted a year.

Below is a copy of the forum host's terms of service (as of 05/15/2011). Every member had to agree to these terns in order to registar their username.

The moderators of this forum will try hard to edit or remove reprehensible messages as soon as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review all the messages. You thus admit that all the messages posted on this forum express the sight and opinion of their respective authors and not those of the moderators or the Webmaster (except messages posted by them) and consequently, they cannot be held responsible of the discussions.
